Photographing with Light: a focus on Exposure | Photo 102 - 6 weeks

Light gives attention; it creates a very provocative highlight in a still image. What we choose to expose for, and how we find light in a given situation can make a photograph extremely powerful: It directs our hearts, and hope fully moves us in a very emotive manner. This class will focus on manual exposure, temperature, kinds of light and making a solid image in all types of lighting situations. Using Photoshop CS3 I will demonstrate how this can be our darkroom for the digital photograph. We will learn how to process RAW files. This class lends to the students hope for what they want to make of light, photojournalism, street portrait...photography. Critiques will be given weekly and students are expected to have images for the class to look through every week.
