The Photographic Story | Photo 203 - 6 weeks

This is a journalistic class created in order to understand how to encapsulate an entire story through the imagery of a set of photographs. Students will be expected to spend a fair amount of time with one subject of his or her choosing, and by the end of the course, have an entire picture story ready for portfolio production. In this class, we will see/share stories with a great deal of intimacy that pull the photographic reader into the subject's reality. This class will be a journey, a journey with another life. And as a class, we need to feel/find/honor their joys, their pains, their very heartbeat through the imagery and intimacy created by our/their visions and their story with powerful techniques and visual journalistic ethics.
