A Photographic Journey with Sam Abell
Workshop - 5 day

This is a workshop for photographers serious about taking the next step in their photographic lives. It is open to photographers interested in improving their craft, careers or artistic expression. Daily sessions are devoted to critique of existing work with the goal of creating a tighter truer body of work. along with critiques there will be daily field work built around assignments designed to sharpen and strengthen photographic seeing. In addition, there will be one-on-one sessions with Sam, also dedicated to strengthening each individual's work.

Day 1  - Sam shows his work discusses his approach to photography, start reviewing portfolios as a group

Day 2 - - group review continues – afternoon out to shoot with Sam

Day 3 – Students out shooting – Sam does 1:1 (20 min each)

Day 4 – review work – 5-7 images (afternoon more 1:1)

Day 5 – AM - walk about with Sam  - PM review work


Who Should Attend: Levels Two and Three - Space is limited to 10 participants, register early

Equipment Needed: Bring a portfolio of 10-15 images – either prints or digital files (no RAW please), basic camera  gear, laptop and flash drive are helpful
